Dale,

I've been doing more than science in my life. I have more than one portfolio of artistry, good and mediochre. If we place our work in a consignment gallery, we might be seen as nominating ourselves, but if we don't believe we are worth being nominated, neither will anyone else.

We always need leaps of faith. We always need to have faith in ourselves. We always need to flock with those who also have faith in us.

Voila! Here we are. Learning to ride the wind.

A consignment gallery sounds  restricted to material goods?

Gosh, Dale,

I didn't mean to hijack your thread, but no, I've seen consignment shops that are more akin to Ebay "in the flesh." It depends on what we consider material. Electrons are material last time I checked, as in matter not space (vacuum).

Mostly galleries are thought of as for artwork, meaning paintings and etchings. I suppose I used it as an illustration of a method, not a physical place. I've found it very difficult in the past to get a literary agent interested in my work. On the other hand I've had some positive encouragement from editors. It's becoming a solution to (as Trump would say) "get the word out" by self publishing. Self publishing, by talented, crafty, creative people, can include hand binding which goes for a good penny. There are more than one self binding reseller out there. Just keysearch Hand bound books.
